I didn't want to do any reading challenges in 2016 since I never finished a single one I signed up for but Becky from Becky's Book Reviews is hosting the Charity Reading Challenge:

Read for a good cause! Buy books at a charity shop, or, even a friends of the library book sale, or, donate a certain percentage of money for each book you read for the challenge. You can choose your own goal of how many books to read, what charity you'll be donating money towards, how much money, etc.

This is easy enough and since I can read whatever I want, I'm sure I'm going to finish this one :D

I'm going to donate 1 Cent for every page I'm going to read this year. The money will either go to Kiva or to SOS Kinderdörfer (SOS Children’s Villages). Or both :-)

I'm back from London. I had a good time although it was a bit too cold. I'm going to post pictures eventually but I keep saying that for all my vacations and then never get round to it :D I'll try, though.

And I bought books, despite my best intentions not to. I have way too many unread books on my shelves but I'm weak when it comes to books. Here's what I bought:

1. Death and the Virgin by Chris Skidmore

2. Margaret Beaufort by Elizabeth Norton

3. Lancaster and York by Alison Weir

Books I've read:

11. All the Colours of Darkness by Peter Robinson - 3.5/5

12. Suche (Search) by Monica Kristensen - 2.5/5

13. White Nights by Ann Cleeves - 3.5/5

14. Forty Words for Sorrow by Giles Blunt - 3/5

Some more pics from Yellowstone. They're large and the waterfall photos are not upright, sorry 'bout that :D

Bison, pronghorn, waterfalls and landscape )

I always wanted to see a grizzly - I just didn't expect it to be from this close a distance!

I was driving from Canyon Village down the road to the waterfalls when I got into a traffic jam. In Yellowstone, this usually means that someone spotted an animal and everyone stops right where they are to take a picture. Until yesterday, it was either bison or elk/deer when that happened. Yesterday, it was a grizzly. By the time I came to where people had seen the bear, it was gone and since I wanted to see the waterfalls, I took a left turn for the parking lot. Between the road and the parking lot is a smallish area with trees into which the bear disappeared. Can you see where this is going? *G*

I still can't write book reviews but I wanted to at least mention the last four books I've read. I won't be able to reach my goal of reading 40 books this year. I really have to think about what my goal for next year is going to be.
