Title: The Six Wives of Henry VIII
Author: Alison Weir
Number of Pages: 656 pages
Book Number/Goal: 6/40
My Rating: 3.75/5

Review: One book giving you the biographies of the six fortunate – or unfortunate – women who married King Henry VIII? How could I not pick this book up in the library? And I wasn't disappointed. Well, not much at least.

The book focused too much on Catherine of Aragon and Anne Boleyn and not enough on the other four wives. The book should've been named "The first two wives of Henry VIII with honorable mentions of the other four" ;-)

Apart from that, though, I enjoyed the book and think Alison Weir did a good job giving an overview over the lives of Henry's six wives. With 656 pages for six women, the reader has to keep in mind that the biographies are by no means as thorough as they would be in a book focusing on each woman alone.

Recommended for anyone interested in history and the Tudor era
